Refund Policy
How Island Rovers handles refunds, unpaid booking expiry, and refund reviews for paid bookings.
1. Unpaid orders
Unpaid pending orders may expire automatically if payment is not completed within the stated payment window. Once an unpaid order expires or is cancelled, no charge should remain due for that pending booking.
2. Paid bookings
Paid bookings are reviewed based on the timing of the cancellation request, the pickup date, payment status, booking conditions, and any non-recoverable platform, admin, or card-processing costs.
3. Full refund requests
Where Island Rovers accepts a cancellation request well in advance of the pickup date, a full or near-full refund may be possible, subject to any non-refundable third-party processing costs already incurred.
4. Partial refund requests
If a customer wishes to cancel closer to the pickup date, the request may still be reviewed for a partial refund. The final amount depends on timing, vehicle allocation, payment fees, and any costs already committed to the booking.
5. Requests that must be handled directly
Paid booking cancellations and refund requests should be submitted directly to Island Rovers by email, phone, or WhatsApp. This allows the company to review timing, booking history, card charges, and any applicable admin or reservation costs before confirming the outcome.
6. Cyprus and applicable law
Refund handling is intended to operate consistently with applicable Cyprus and EU consumer-protection rules. For bookings involving a vehicle reserved for specific dates, automatic distance-selling withdrawal rights may not apply in the same way they do for standard retail goods. Island Rovers will still assess each refund request fairly and communicate the outcome clearly.
