Cancellation Policy
Island Rovers cancellation rules for unpaid reservations, paid bookings, and last-minute requests.
1. Unpaid reservations
Unpaid reservations may be cancelled by the customer through the website while they remain unpaid and active. Expired unpaid reservations may also be cancelled automatically by the system.
2. Paid bookings
Paid bookings are not automatically cancelled by the customer through the website. If a booking has already been paid, the customer must contact Island Rovers to request cancellation and refund review.
3. 14-day notice guidance
Island Rovers asks customers to request cancellation as early as possible. For smooth handling, customers should ideally contact the company at least 14 days before the pickup date where possible.
4. 48-hour and last-minute requests
If the customer wishes to cancel within 48 hours of the pickup date, the cancellation must be handled directly by the company and may only qualify for a partial refund, or no refund, depending on the circumstances and costs already committed.
5. No-shows and late cancellations
No-shows, missed collections, or cancellation requests after the rental start date may result in reduced refund eligibility or no refund at all, especially where the vehicle was reserved and blocked for the booking period.

- For unpaid bookings: use the cancellation option in your website account, where available.
